Early Life and Challenges
Monica Kindle grew up in San Bernardino, California, as the youngest of her siblings. Three of her siblings were involved in gangs, and Monica was raised in poverty by a loving mother who lived with paranoid schizophrenia, alongside a stepfather who faced literacy challenges and had a criminal history, including incarceration. Despite these obstacles, Monica's early life laid the foundation for her resilience and determination.
Education and Personal Growth
Though Monica dropped out of school after 8th grade and became a teen mother, she was inspired by her middle school counselor to pursue higher education. This motivation led her to earn her GED, followed by a bachelor’s degree from Missouri Western State University and a master’s degree from Bowie State University. Her journey reflects a commitment to personal growth and the importance of education as a tool for transformation.

Monica is passionate about empowering youth and families, especially focusing on the health and well-being of young girls. Her work demonstrates her dedication to making a positive impact in her community and the lives of others.

Monica’s leadership style balances professionalism with authenticity. She integrates her lived experiences into her work, drawing on her knowledge of juvenile delinquency, child welfare, human resources, learning, and organizational development. Monica strives to create spaces where individuals and organizations can grow and thrive, particularly in the context of youth development.
